When a range is assessed one chooses an area which is representative of the range. The table of classification should be used with the photos with the examples of the different classes or range conditions. The form should be used and filled out for each character evaluated to describe the condition. The condition class for the range will be more or less the average of the different characters. Some of the characters may be given higher weight than others, e.g. spot erosion, which may affect the final outcome. If the range needs improvements the different options should be considered.
