This page introduces two publications on rangeland desertification. They are the result of an international workshop that was held in Iceland in September 1997.

The first volume focuses on concepts and principles. The book is published by the Kluwer Academic Publishers	These proceedings are a unique documentation of rangeland desertification in many countries and regions of the world.
