dominated by the coarse fragments. C2 horizon was not sampled. Colours are
for moist soil.
Ah:
0-20 cm; Dark yellowish brown (10YR
3/4) extremely gravely sandy loam, structureless, loose, many
very fine to medium roots, calcareous, HCl ++, 80% 0.2-1 cm coarse fragments,
clear wavy boundary. NaF +
C1: 20-50 cm; Black (10YR
2/1) sandy gravel, structureless, loose, common very fine to medium roots,
slight evidence of stratification, non calcareous, 95% 0.2-2 cm coarse
fragments, abrupt wavy boundary.
NaF +
C2: 50-70+ cm; Black (10YR
2/1) sandy gravel, structureless, loose, no roots, non calcareous, NaF +.
WRB (2001):
ochric horizon (0-20 cm); no Leptosol because of <90% coarse fragments between
0 and 50 cm; no Arenosol because of >35% coarse fragments between 0 and 50 cm;
BS >80% throughout:
Skeleti-Tephric Regosol (Hypereutric)
ST (1999):
ochric epipedon (0-20 cm); no Psamment because of >35% rock fragments in the
